Neapolitan Family sponsors several events each year. Our two signature events are the Back to School Expo held each August and the Neapolitan Family Expo held in March.

Our 2009 Back to School Expo was held at the YMCA of the Palms on August 15. With over 3,500 parents and children in attendance, the event was the largest held to date. Parents found a wealth of information at the 75 booths while children enjoyed face painting, bounce house, arts & crafts and free entertainment. Major sponsors were the Naples Daily News and the YMCA of the Palms.

Plans are underway for the 2010 Neapolitan Family Expo
presented by the Children's Museum of Naples.
The event will be held on March 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
at North Collier Regional Park.

The Citizen’s Foster Care Review Board (CFCRB) of Collier County celebrates its “Sweet 16” anniversary this fall. The volunteer organization (with an Executive Director paid by the court system) reviews the safety of children in the foster care system and works toward swift, permanent outcomes so children don’t languish in the foster care system.

Most of us can’t imagine growing up without a family. Yet, right now, there are more than 120,000 children in United States eligible and waiting to be adopted through the foster system. More than 3,000 of those kids are right here in Florida, many in our own backyards. November is National Adoption Awareness Month and a great time to think of these children in Florida and nationwide who are waiting for a family to call their own.
